The Eppendorf 6331 Mastercycler Nexus Gradient is a programmable 96-well PCR thermal cycler designed for standard PCR, fast PCR, and PCR optimization applications. It features a universal aluminum thermoblock accommodating 0.1 mL and 0.2 mL PCR tubes, tube strips, 0.5 mL tubes, and 96-well PCR plates. The system provides a 4–99°C block temperature range, heating rates up to 3°C per second, and ±0.2°C temperature control accuracy. Its gradient function provides a maximum 20°C temperature spread for testing different reaction conditions during the same run, while the adjustable heated lid operates from 37–110°C to help minimize sample evaporation and condensation.
