[Description]

The KARL STORZ 60512 VG is a flexible veterinary fiber-optic endoscope designed for diagnostic and interventional examination of animal airways and other accessible internal structures. The scope has an approximately 160 cm working length and 8 mm insertion diameter with forward viewing, a controllable flexible distal section, and an instrument channel that can be used for sampling, instruments, suction, irrigation, and related procedures. The 60512 VG has documented use for equine respiratory examination and veterinary bronchoscopy. Unlike an electronic video endoscope, the 60512 VG transmits the image through a fiber-optic bundle to an eyepiece and can be viewed directly or connected to a compatible endoscopic camera system for display on a monitor. Illumination is supplied by a separate compatible cold-light source.
