The Sutter Instrument Lambda DG-4 is an ultra-high-speed wavelength switching light source designed for fluorescence microscopy and other demanding imaging applications. Using a xenon arc lamp and high-speed galvanometer-driven optical system, the DG-4 provides rapid switching between up to four excitation wavelengths with switching times of less than 1.2 milliseconds. The system delivers intense, stable illumination through a liquid light guide while minimizing vibration and heat transfer to the microscope. Its fast electronic shuttering, computer-controlled operation, and broad wavelength capability make the Lambda DG-4 well suited for high-speed fluorescence imaging, ratio imaging, calcium measurements, and other applications requiring precise, rapid control of excitation light.
